you dont need the copper dome if you have the SS one for the turbo500,

Well done mate been using this kit for
about 6 months its great.
Striping runs take about 3 hrs start
to finish.
If you like rum its fantastic for that.
Expensive but good.
You now have two stills in one. :)

I still chuck a few copper coins in the boiler along with the ceramic boil enhancers that came with the T500. As much as anything, I like the telltale tinkling noise they make as the boiler reaches a steady boil.

NO, NO and No again!

It goes way beyond an airstill.

Boil pieces to prevent a surge boil in any still are welcome.

Adding copper to any still that is deficient in it is always worthwhile IMHO, I know the argument states that copper should be in the vapour path, and not the wash, but the state of the copper pieces from my spirit runs afterwards tells me that putting them in the spirit wash is worthwhile, despite the fact that I am possibly running the biggest Copper condenser on this site. :)

Robert.

Ah, when I got my Airstill it had the small ceramic rings about a handful..
My T500 arrived with maybe 8 larger ceramic lumps that look a bit like molars so I'm not sure if there is meant to be more of them ???

If you have a few copper coins, I don't imagine it can do any harm chucking them in too. You can hear them dancing on the bottom as it reaches boil. Anything that helps prevent a surge boil has to be good.
