Hi Guys
Been making Gin now for many years but want to develope a recipe for Rhubarb & Ginger Gin (Whitley Nell). Anyone any ideas as to what quantities of Rhubarb & Ginger I would require per litre.
Regards
Runningman

oooo good shout.

Ginger not much..start with 1/2 inch and work up.
No wiching to start a fight but ...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flavourings- ... 2511761310

Reason: Rhubarb - the flavour is VERY subtle, lot of prep, no sugar & life is too short

So add the ginger to the gin bots. I am assuming sputnik here?

Wait 1 week. I would then taste a 100ml measure in a glass, a one drop of Rhubarb. Taste. Repeat until good. Then scale up.

I made a simple Gin like a Plymouth with a 10p sized
piece of finely chopped Ginger. Then steeped one
chopped and crushed Rhubarb stick for 5 days, happy.
This was for 1.5ltrs @42%.

It goes cloudy when you put the tonic in ( almost milky )

It helps if you keep the ABV a little higher
say42 or 43%.
