About the same price as a local catering supplier - I use 2 and 3 litre ones for kimchi and sauerkraut........

The local cash and carry seems expensive if the Aldi price is "normal" everywhere else.

Bulk buying power maybe ? Local C&C would get a mixed lorry load, Aldi would get 10 loads of each size etc......
