I've got that magic Breumeister kit and have only used it once to make beer which is a shame cos it was quite canny
Never made one with a box of underpants before though mate ! ;D

I know just what you mean, I'm the same, I can never get a enough bottles of spirits put away so that I can find time to brew.

Once this new boiler is up and running I want to take time and look at having a go at building a Braumeister clone. I have a 80 liter thermopot that I use as a mash tun, and I'm serious thinking at following in this guys footsteps watch this space... ;D ;D

edit...
Just seen your post AT, do I read you correct?? you have a Braumeister??

2nd edit.
Just found this here on Ebay only finished yesterday... ::) ::)

AT doesn't mess about.
He just can't resist spending on kit.
I am slightly envious of his spending capacity.
But wish him well. :'(
And I don't do smilies!

Now now ED it was bought as an essential bit of kit for work...........

Seriously it's a great bit of engineering and the controllability is fantastic. previously I was struggling to get a good conversion coupled with being bloody messy !

Oh and BTW if I had that much coin I would buy one of SD's milk can boilers rather than pissing about with an old beer keg !

MrBakerman,
You may have introduced yourself in the wrong topic, but TBH ,I don't give a sh*t.
You have come here bursting with exuberance, and to be honest,a little vivacity, such as you seem to bring is very welcome.
For the most part we are are a bunch of regular people sharing knowledge and having fun.
Other fora out there are more regimented or otherwise constrained, happily the founding father of this forum was more of a Hippie,(actually,I think he was more of a punk rocker.)
There is much knowledge posted on here from which you may benefit, and I hope you stay around and share yours.

I had forgotten about this post,but while we are here;

No,I qualified it to him being more of a punk.
With Hippy undertones.

But as he approaches maturity, there is a pleasing blend of fruit, nuts,a hint of Leather,Kale and old school desks.A little bit of Saffron and Lentil sneaking into the finish. All rounded off with the lingering after taste of the smokey oak pieces produced by fervent Char your own users.
Recommended with a good strong cheese.
Or a damn fine steak.

Well I don't know about lots of this shit......

Never made beer (never had enough room for that), but I do wine (imported grapes, french/italian/spanish varieties - I believe all Italian grown), country wines when I can sort my shit to get picking, mead and of course sugar neutral...

It would be nice to have a play at some of the American style grain mashing corn whisky type stuff, but I just don't get the time to go and find the ingredients, let alone work out about how it's actually made.

I do read some of the FB pages on it, but as I'm rather lazy it's easier to make sugar neutrals and use essence flavours (many of which aren't bad at all)......

I do like and do make all grain beer. But Whiskey from grain does strike me as proper hard work and a strain on the wallet.
