Honey Bourbon
Had a bag of bourbon chunks 100g didn't have
a use for them.So in a jar added 1.5 ltrs
filtered spirit, let sit for 2 weeks.
Filtered off,added 150gms natural honey and 50gms
glycerin, gave it a good shake.
It tasted foul not nice, listened to wife,
for once,"give it a chance". So I did,
tried it again 2 weeks later. different animal, not sharp
rounded warming and very moreish.
Next time may add dash of vanilla essence.

Re: Honey Bourbon
Good things come to those who wait & all that malarkey! Sounds like a lot of sweet stuff went into that Gaza, what was the ABV before you added the honey & glycerin?

Re: Honey Bourbon
It was a good quality 46% neutral.
Yes you need to adjust to taste, I quite
like that warm sweet taste as it goes down,
if you know what i mean Benoit.
Have a rum wash on the go,dark Muscovado
and T&L black treacle. Smells fantastic
if it turns out OK will post recipe.
DM on offer at tesco 3 for 2 so not to painful
Only doing 18 lts will put through airstill,
t500 will strip to much flavor. Am buying
copper next month.
