Hi all Happy new year for when it arrives.I have had a bottle of tormore 12 year old speyside single malt bought for christmas.I must say this is the fruitiest whisky ive ever tasted to the point that its a bit brandyish if thats a word still very enjoyable though has anybody else tried this brand and what are your opinions

I have tried two drams on ice (courtesy of a friend) so...very limited sampling etc.
IMHO the 12yo was more harsh than class, with little 5 second mouthfeel beyond bite.....mind you, it really did have the fruity taste going which will be to others liking, I am sure.
The distillery is but a pup too, so that warrants support.

It's a great pity you opened the bottle as they discontinued the 12 and it's value will increase with time!If your supplier/of licence still has some I would be tempted to buy a couple and sell them a few years down the line to a collector. As for the taste it's rich, super smooth and very likeable. It is a bit pricey though and as I said it's going to get a lot pricier in the future.
