Filtering more than once.
Have gone ahead and ordered essencia filter, how long does it take to filter roughly, say 5 litres or a litre, presume no more than 24 hours ? and can you filter it more than once and will you be able to tell, as the more expensive vodkas say triple filtered, 5 times filtered thanks

Can you filter it more than once?
Yep.
In the end the filters performance comes down to contact time with the carbon. The first filter in nothing more than a particle filter to remove floaters. The second is the carbon filter.
I've passed some 40% diluted from 95% a couple of times and I + wife could tell the differance with each pass.
However, I then placed half of that already filtered batch in a demijohn with some activated carbon for a couple of days and we then compared to the Essencia filtered product. And there was a big differance .. The wife did consider the Demijohn product to be really neutral... zero taste.
So I guess if you pass the product thru 5-6 times you might be approaching the demijohn carbon soak contact time.
