t500 as beer boiler.

Has anyone used the boiler in the brewing of beer and if so what were the results?
I am looking to go AG eventually and am on a tight budget for kit so if I don't have to buy a stock pot and alter it it would be handy

I don't brew beer, but have used the T500 for boiling grain for a gain mash. I have a power controller and I'd go as far to say it is a necessity, the boiler is good for a fierce boil no good for maintaining a temp or simmering.
