I think I'm becoming a grumpy old git...the music played on radio 2 these days has started to piss me off...and I've found myself listening to radio 4 a lot more over the past year..oh dear I'm turning into Victor Meldrew...

Strange you say that.

I've listened to Radio 2 since the mid eighties. Put it on a couple of weeks ago and after five minutes wanted to listen to a talk show. Ended up on Radio 4 and there was a half hour interview with the UK's only professor on brewing and distilling.

I don't think we are getting old, maybe our tastes are just changing like they do throughout out lives.

Quite fond of XFM and Jazz myself. Always liked two and four. Four sometimes has the loveliest emotive, expressive female voices in plays. I like the book like quality of radio plays when they have the right voice or voices. Interesting that there are a few of us who have lived long enough to develop our flavours.

if so yeah i listened to it when im in the kitchen
and radio2 when im driving specialy the traffic updates to see any
problems on my route
