There was some spirits there last year, rather nice too... Warmed the cockles whilst trying to stay dry. 8)

The obvious problem here of course is driving over there. Perhaps I should pack a tent....

.....which of course is another way of having a meet-up!

There is an old American banjo crowd, who meet up once a year at a campsite for one night. Sit around the fire, drinking beer, playing old American music. Shocking just shocking.

I don't know where you would be driving from, but packing a tent / towing a caravan or kipping in the car is the general idea. There's an almost unlimited free bar (all donations appreciated but none compulsory) and you don't have to leave on the Sunday until you feel capable or have blown a clear breathalyser.

If you aren't already a member then you will have to register to be able to view this, but there's a photo report of last year's event on the craft brewing forum.

I would not want to piss on a small brew event that stated "no spirits" by turning up with some.
Respect, and all that.
I am up for bottle swaps, meets or whatever, if time and location allows, Notwithstanding the strange ideas that some members of this site seem to hold, that it it is OK to be a member of the site, but you mustn't give out personal details to other members, for fear of something?
Presumably believing that you are safe and unknown to authorities?
La La land.

I agree wholeheartedly with Robert on this. I'm a member on this forum, in fact I was on the old one until the "trouble" and the eventual split and formation of the new forum.
Any posts about distilling would send certain mods into orbit :D and were deleted immediately with a warning that it was ILLEGAL in the UK.
Any attempt to establish a secret mini meet & greet within this forums get together would not be possible....if caught how would you explain it??...and to quote Robert "Respect, and all that"

I too am up for a bottle swap, or a weekend get together say next year. Maybe camping?...what could be more innocent than a few friends meeting up for a chin wag and a few drinks. ;) ;)

As for the law, they could find all about any of us if they wanted..ok you don't stand up and shout about it from the roof tops...you do the odd bottle for your own consumption...they have bigger fish to fry.

Well that's my Image guys

"Respect, and all that" yeah +1. there are some campsites that will even let you have a fire! so sitting round the campfire, drinking beer, telling tall stories. Does, I have to say sound quite appealing.

Separately. As it is quite close, I will probably also go to the annual home brewers' get-together thingy.

Might register now just so I don't forget.
