Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me dropping by to let you know I now have the Still spirits Classic Irish Whiskey essence. It is a real gem - very much in the style of Tullamore Dew.
This essence is not normally available in the UK. (you guys in NZ are probably thinking whats she on about...)

Also have a new batch of Essencia carbon and ceramic cartridges in just in case you are having trouble locating them.

I have shopped with you several times.
I bought my Smart still from you,several years ago.
Can I hope that the instructions that you include with it no longer advocate drinking single strip Turbo?
It never mattered to me,I had done some research.
But there are some Whally's out there that may be turned off the whole experience by a wholly inferior product.
Just my thoughts.

I am not a snob or purist, and would try more essences, if they weren't so fecking expensive!
I have to pay postage, no HBS that I know of nearby.
Maybe I am shooting myself in the foot here, but resent spending more per bottle of finished "X drink" on an essence than the neutral cost me to make.
Once in a while I load up on essences from Amazon, usually Gert Strands Prestige range as they seem to have the occasional multi buy deal.
Any of those rums are OK, and the gin is too.
Other than that I will continue to make flavoured spirits the harder and more labourious ways with "real" ingredients and locally harvested or bought botanicals.

I only get them when I am ordering other stuff and then I often feel let down when I taste it.

I recently bought some black tea. It was about the same price... But will make 12 litres and the product is smashing.

See it's a bit "horses for courses" isn't it.

It can depend on where you are and what local access you have.

It maybe that I'm lucky having a local HBS that does a reasonable range of stuff locally, plus a bit of a drive up the road, an excellent well stocked HBS thats worth the trip if I need enough bits.

I've tasted many and have an idea of what I like and what I don't. Between the SS and prestige stuff, there's enough to keep me happy. Which is why I've settled on my method for a good, clean tasting neutral. So I can judge between the different makes.

Also, it can depend on the space available. I don't have the room to commit to trying to source the right ingredients to try and either mimmick a brand or develop a bespoke flavour. Hence sugar being already refined, being more space efficient etc is a major benefit to me.

That's not to say that any of us are "wrong" in any way. All power to those who do have the space and motivation to try and make X properly.

I'm happy to use mostly SS "classic" range flavours mostly, occasionally some prestige flavours or SS top shelf ones. Essencia ones are OK too, but harder to get hold of.

Though on the side of the cost thing, the greater the amount bought the better spread the shipping/postage works out. Or you could even drop Ellie-Claire an email. Last time I got some Vodka Star, I asked how much I needed to buy for free postage - it was about 15 or 16 packs (still got the last one in the fridge ready for the next batch of wash).......

There now not being a full time Mrs ED, I have perhaps a little more freedom than some.
I don't have too much space, a small dedicated brew room, but should I wish to place a couple of brew bins next to the TV, that is doable.
Should I wish to dis-assemble a chainsaw engine on the dining table, that is also possible.

All agreed. I suffer from "how do they do that?" too. Currently have 3 kale washes on that I don't need to trial a theory.
