WHY CANT I FIND A NEW ESSENCIA CERAMIC FILTER SYSTEM ??

MY OLD essencia ceramic/carbon filter was damaged in storage and i cant seem to find a new one for sale anywhere...

i still have the cartridges, and ceramic filter but the buckets etc have been destroyed...

what is the best filter on the market at the minute? or does anyone know where or why i cant find a new one online???

any help much appeciated, will be firing up the t500 again soon so need a good filter for a nice smooth end product.

I recently thought that I needed to replace mine, but managed a bodge.
So I have noticed that they are out of stock in lots of places.
I have never used the following seller, but they claim to have them.

yeah screw it im just gonna buy this new one (hopfully it is in stock!)

Ill use the cartrideges i have as spares.. dont want start messing about with glue or duct tape lol.

do you ever notice much of a difference when you filter neautral twice or three times? I cant remember if it made a huge difference but the essencia is a must have imo...

Gointg to fire up the still now soon and run a few buckets hopefully

It may be contentious, but I believe an Essencia, or equivalent, is well worth the effort and money for a neutral.
IMHO running a clean neutral, (Decent cuts made) through the Eseencia once is all that you need.
Alcoholic water.
You need to bottle it, because drinking from the filter can easily lead to overload.

I managed to order one from Amazon that was due to turn up yesterday. The company name was Dowricks Goodlife. I reckon I've had the last one though as it says sold out on their site.

Just a quick update. The essencia finally turned up, only after me chasing up Dowricks Goodlife to find out where it is. This was 3 days after the latest expected date. Anyway this shabby box turned up, which I opened to find a couple of things that concerned me.

1. The box and packaging looked like it had done the rounds a bit. All well used, none of it looked like it was brand new, straight out of the factory. Everything looked like it had been opened at some point, even the bubble wrap had no bubbles!

2. And most important of all the ceramic filter was broken. The top part with the fitting was completely snapped off and there was carbon everywhere. Again this item looked like it had been opened. Whoever last held this item last took it upon themselves to try and contain the mess by using an elastic band.

At this moment in time I am going though the returns process with amazon and the seller so I'll hold back my feelings about this, at least until I am in receipt of a full refund. If the filter kit looked brand new and did not look like either pre owned or a display item I might have complained and asked for a replacement Ceramic filter, but no I paid £91 for something that should have been new and not broken so i'll have my money and sort something else. In short, all I can say is that if you are looking for one of these filters and you see one advertised on their site, either swerve it or at least call them and make sure its not a returned item. Just in case

Until I managed to bodge fix my own, I actually considered buying this self same unit as a replacement for myself.

Thanks for the nice reply. I'm considering going down the DIY route. Currently looking at several options on the interweb. I fancy a nice 4 inch copper tube type thing it I can sort it if the pennies allow

Have to say I don't know why you would, but each to their own.

FWIW, I've always seen them as mightily overpriced so you could be on to a good thing with your copper idea
