You get what you pay for in this world chap, looks to be a knock off and is being shipped from China.
The listing states it is CE marked, but it has the wrong plug on it for starters...
Do a google for CE mark or China export mark...

Its an easy spot. They look like a copy. The stainless is shiney (normally brushed) and the lid is wrong.

Thats not to say it won't work. But what about spares?

I would buy a pre-owned 'pukker' one.

I think also that the water thingys are a higher
wattage so not good for us.
AS is 500w ?? Water purifier 750w.

Why??? run through a controller, dial in whatever heat you want to run it.

If you put a controller on 'em, they need bi-wiring too. The fan needs full power.

a point.

I have to say I quite fancy a fiddle with a high power one, but not unless it is Dick Turpin money.

From someone forced down that route, I humbly suggest larger volume over more power.

Didn't know you could get a higher volume AS, Is it just an AS head on a larger pot.

No - I think the point it slower is better.

The AS is a balance. A bigger pot would produce would produce too much too soon and overpower the condenser.

Sooooo to follow your lead ED, I have a controller I might run a standard AS slower for gin...
