Re: Infusion basket
I found some lovely copper scrubbers in a pound shop today, I forget how much they were.
I'll pop these in my botanical basket when I get one sorted and report on results.
Will these scrubbers act as saddles in the wash? And would I use them on a striping run and spirit run?
Thanks.

You were in a pound shop, How much did they cost?
Not wishing to belittle your post, things in the boiler are generally referred to as boil pieces.
I personally use copper boil pieces in both strip and spirit runs.
WDIK?
Robert.

I don't know what they will do. Bit of copper in the vapour path is not a bad thing.
The issue is you have nothing to measure against.
What you do NEED is some coinage and/or some copper pipe offcuts in the bottom.
IMO this is mandatory.

@Easydrinker. I realise that without any reference point it's difficult to know whether I'm joking or I'm an imbecile. It's a minefield telling jokes over text. Or maybe I'm just not funny. I suspect the latter.
And don't worry about belittling me. I'm a big boy, according to my Mum. (sorry).
But seriously, I need all the help I can get, so thanks.
@Mash. Will do. I'll try and source some copper pieces today, thanks.

1p and 2p are good! The best are NOT magnetic ie the older ones.
You could cut pipe down. And hammer a few flat.

You seem like a perfectly likeable guy Duffer, don't take offence at anything that some of us might say, it is rarely intended.
If'n you don't find real copper coins, off cuts of copper pipe work too, I don't even flatten mine, I just use a couple of handfulls.
Robert.
