Essential Oils
Has anyone had a go at using their equipment to produce essential oils?
I don't like the idea of contaminating my ethanol still but have a copper pot still I might give it a go with.
Anyone else had a go?

Re: Essential Oils
Firstly, I suspect that you need an awful, awful, (that's two awful for me
) lot of whatever base material that you make the essential oil from.
Secondly, Your still is going to need major cleaning after.
I guess if my garden was filled with something that I wanted the essential oil of, then I might consider it.
If you give this a go then let us know, this would deserve it's own section.
Robert.

There is no ONE way.

Rosemary, basil, and tomato leaf make an interesting gin. Just go easy on the Rosemary. Makes a nice dirty martini.

Re: Essential Oils
I live close to some wide open countryside. I was thinking I might be able to go and forage for some stuff to use. But in truth, I have absolutely no idea what I'd collect or where I'd start.
Probably just another pie in the sky idea of mine really but will keep it in the back of my mind.
