Reusing EZ Filter?

Postby Keystone » Fri Dec 09, 2011 12:36 am

I ran WPOSW from the HD site though the SS super reflux resulting in a very clean smelling neutral. So, I wonder about any positive impact on the EZ Filter and its reuse. Does anyone have any experience in filtering a non-turbo neutral? If so, how many liters of same cut to 50% could be processed through a single EZ Filter?

I am thinking that EZ Filter can process more of the non-turbo neutral with having ostensibly fewer impurities than a turbo neutral. I am hoping to be able to spend less on consumables without sacrificing quality. Also, does the EZ Filter need to be kept wet in between batches?

Thanks in advance!

Hi keystone and Merry Christmas, imho with wineos wash and only average cuts carbon filtering will be just peace of mind and a bit of a polish, as regards the carbon i use the z filter and put three batches through it before changing but the carbon needs keeping wet and sealed between batches. as regards the EZ filter i think it would easily do this amount. I have read that you could boil the carbon tube for 20 to 30 mins and dry it in a hot oven and it should be ready to use again.how many times you could repeat this rejuvination of the carbon would be trial and error until you find whats good for you.

Cheers
