ss smokey malt
Hi all i enjoy the smokey malt from still spirits but its cloudy appearance does my head in(plus supping it), so if anyone else is like me, if you filter your spirit at 45 to 50 abv then add the ss smokey malt flavour then dilute down to 40 abv your spirit should be clear not cloudy
ps if you don't filter add the flavour at any abv above 45 then dilute

Re: ss smokey malt
I use SS smokey and don't have any problems with it clouding.
I distil through the T500, cut to around 40%ABV, filter through an essencia, measure and add essence.
The only thing I should ad is that I use distilled water to cut. I live in a very hard water area and through experiment I found that everything works better with the distilled water.
My Gin used to be cloudy occasionally but not since I moved to the distilled water (produced by the way with my original smartstill)
