Hi Longy,
Do or can you post a photo of the damage?? this would help.
If your thinking about sealing it you'll have to take into account the ABV of whatever you filtering, maybe a pure silicon?? I'm not sure.
If it's a flat part of the filter you could glue a strip on the outside...I've used a soldering iron to "weld" a crack in plastic in the past..

Same here. If you are very careful you can also use a chef's blow torch

Totally feel for you...
same thing happened to me but I also have ez filter so I've transformed that using the ceramic and the carbon filter instead....removed the tap from the collection part on the essencia and plugged the hole with stainless steel bolt and nut...had a mini float valve to make a water regulator tank so used part of that as the thread for the carbon filter, drilled a hole in the reservoir of the ez filter and connected....works a dream...al try put some pics on to show you
Cheers Paul

This could be a great opportunity to build a bigger stainless version, If you can find two stainless pots that can be stacked on top of each other, you could easily drill some holes in the top one, one for the ceramic filter and one threaded with a bolt / nut for the carbon one to attach underneath it, then a tap on the bottom one.
If it was big enough you could install two pairs of filters to speed things up

The quick and in my opinion safe quick fix involves HA6 sealant
Readily available on the bay.
Check out it's specs.,virtually inert.
My go to stilling gasket goo.
