This my latest run of Kale Wash.

It does not include PH buffers, because the jury is still out on that one(for me).

Thanks to Googe for the original idea and getting me started.

Ok so Ive took the plunge and spent an entire £2 on a 600gr bag of sliced Kale, they had sold out of the unsliced real ones?

I was reading Googe's original post on SD and quite fancy a go myself, it's a 600gr bag so I'm thinking I could boil the lot with 6litres of water for 5 mins, then strain off the liquid and throw the used kale in the bin.

Then use 1 litre for the wash with 5kg sugar and save the other 5 litres in a demijon for future washes.

Edit, I've just ready Mash's PDF, he suggests freezing the liquid, I guess I could freeze the kale I don't need in 100g bags, as I dont fancy freezing 5 litres of liquid.

IMO. I should freeze it. Not sure it will stay fresh in the DJ, unless you sterilise it in the DJ.

I for one will be interested to get you opinion of the spirit.

Before even making any it's probaly going to be the cheapest neutral ever,

To make 200 litres of wash - with 5kg sugar per 25 litres
£2 on Kale
£18 on Sugar (based on Aldi current price of 45p/kg)
+ 4 tins of Alinsons

It'll be just over £1 per litre of finished 40% neutral :)

Your mother would probably make you eat the Kale too,
Making it even more cost efficient!

The wife did ask if she could use leftovers for a soup, but they were already in the bin, just done my first 25 litre kale wash, see how it goes.

When I first started doing it I read about boiling it, and most said it damages the vit c content. I did one wash were I boiled it, from memory I don't think it was as active. But you all seem to have had success :-).

No as we know it Jim.

This is a proper "Old English fart" not rotten eggs.

If he's doing 200l I am sure Anavrin will report back. That might be a proper purple cloud :D
