@ Gaza: Thanks for the feedback. I am glad it has been a positive experience for you. A caipirinha on a nice warm day is a great thirst quencher.
Don't know if I mentioned it before, but rather than regular limes, we started using calamansi limes, and at times brown sugar. It all seems to work.

Yesterday I had the intention of making some caipirinhas but didn't have any limes
So I did this.. Cachaca,Ice,lemon mint and apple juice
It made a lovely refreshing drink, ended up buying more apple juice it was that good

@ Brewhunter: That does sound nice and refreshing. Thanks for the feedback.

I've just picked up 10 jars of this from Sainsbury's:
http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/webapp/wcs/ ... xCug%3D%3DHoping it is up to the job.
I was attracted by gaining 10 uniform glass jars too for taking cuts

@ Seagull..........
I know you wanted the jars for strip/spirit runs...but if you want to have another go at this it maybe better to buy in bulk.
10 jars cost you £12.50 for 6.8 kg of GS.....I buy 7.3 kgs for about £9...just a thought.

Wanna set one of these going this afternoon.
Only used Allinson's so far on experimental 5 litre batches.
I don't have dead yeast cells to use for nutrient as in the original recipe.
Should I use a turbo yeast or Allinson's and add an easy to come by nutrient like crushed sultanas?
Cheers guys!!
