Well, for me it is the heat. I cant ferment anything as the water in the tap is bath temp. The last run I did dropped 52 points in one day. A little fast for my liking.

The rainy season is late this year. May was the hottest on record. I cant run the still as the water pressure is about half of what it should be.

So everything is shelved until there is a little relief in he temp. My new "Gun Fire Rum" is on hold.

Hum ? Well yes it is quiet, concur there.......

Why ? I don't know. RJ at least has a good reason, whereas me ? I have about 3 gallons of neutral made up and ready to mix so I don't need to get any other batches on the go just yet (though I did pick up 25 kg of sugar last week. 69p per kilo at pound stretcher.........

We're all off hiding in the woods running our stills, no wifi out there.

I tend to find that people (like us?) who are arty, crafty, useful-types don't have the internet as an addiction as our hobbies keep us from the computers. Plus the fact is we have to have some time to do some 'quality control'!

It's a nice balance!

I particularly love the people here on this forum as we seem to be a whole lot calmer and mellow....

Now where's my vodka and hammock?

I miss Aiden. He was always good for a stream of interesting posts. I am trying to work up the time and energy to do one on "break" heads from the Airstill to recover the ethanol.

I agree it is a little slow, but we've been away for 2 weeks on holls so I can only think that so are other members.
Now I back I need to get a couple of wash's on the go as we don't have a lot left.

When you check user statistics AM popped in, back in March this year....
