"Pretty" bottles........

Postby Phantom » Sun Apr 08, 2018 10:30 am

Couple of months back, I arrived at a customer location only to see a pallet full of 1litre swing top bottles (obviously, still on the pallet so no tops), but they were cobalt blue in colour.

I've managed to blag about a dozen or so (top layer was open).

Ha! turns out they're not on anyone's inventory so waiting to be thrown out. I've told their boss not to bin them till I've made an offer, though WTF I'd do with about 600x1 litre blue glass bottles (or even where I'd be able to stash them in the meantime).......

Amazing what you can find if you only look past the end of the nose....... ;D

A couple of fence posts each end, lay them down and build a wall?

If I get offered them, I'll offer them here too.

New swing caps are easy to get (I got some at the local HBS and he doesn't keep anything even remotely exotic)........

Nice find Mr P.
They are many dollars to buy, maybe some of the guys
could help you find a new home with any spares.
I say this for others as just bought some at a
reasonable price. :)

I might be tempted to use for a Gin, but apart from the prettiness, cannot think of another use.
No wait, it is coming, "Vodka Blues", swing top, how niche market is that?
Waitrose eat yer socks.
Not that we sell, just a marketing dream.

We don't play the blues, we make the blues.
The Vodka Blues, sounds like a Soho stripp
joint Blues Band. ;D

I will resist asking how you spent your formative years, ;)
