Great scotch with a stout
Hey! I wanted to share a great result I got by distilling a stout!
It all started with me making a stout, after a couple of months of making it, i tried, didnt like it, so i thought of distilling it, so i did, I put a whole bunch of stubbies into my air still and de-gas it completelly, then i distill it, then i made an initial taste, and it was ok but not great, then i added kentucky bourbon chips into it and left it there for about a month (until the clear spirit turns golden as a scotch), then i tasted it and i ended with the greatest tasting smoky (cuz the chips and the flavour profile of the stout) scotch i ever tried, yes better than the glenlivet and other islay whiskies, and all in 1month after distilling!!!,
Best enjoyed neat at roughly at 35% ABV? Thats just an estimate, i didnt actually check it after distilling it, but i have an excellent talent measuring alcohol and temperature
