A Warm Hello To MY New Friends
Hello Everyone,
I've been a lurker here for some time now as I've been reading and learning in preparation for starting my new hobby. I will be the proud new owner of an airstill as soon as it arrives. Read, re-read, and re-re-read mozr and aidanmac's techniques for getting the best out of this little gem. I can't wait to clean it up and start my first UJSSM or DWWG. I appreciate the insight and look forward to getting everyone's advice in the future.
About me...I've brewed wine and beer in the past and now looking to try something new. I'm an avid bourbon lover and appreciate all kinds of good whiskey. At the moment, I'm enjoying White Lion arrack...
I'm glad to be here and hope to talk to you all soon!

Welcome aboard Rhinus. I'm a Bourbon man myself and still 'trying' to make the real thing.
The Airstill is a brilliant starter still when used properly (that means Not in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions
Mozr's guide or mine will allow you make good quality alcohol and learning how and where to make cuts will allow you to make great drinking spirits that you can bottle and be proud of when you pour some into a glass.
Anything you're not sure of, just ask. Lots of friendly, helpful people around these parts

Welcome Rhinus. I am also an airstill owner and a bourbon fan (among several drinks that I enjoy).

Welcome aboard .. you have found one of the few forums that don't rubbish the poor little air still .. especially as it's a great starter to the hobby (in my opinion) ..
Also good advice is given here with the only bias being very much tongue in cheek lol
So pull up a chair, get comfy and let's brew

Same sentiments of welcome.....
It's good here as we all seem to have similar views and don't particularly like the bitchiness that can be seen at other stilling related places.
Some others here are brilliant. Helpful and knowledgeable etc......
The vaguest of locations helps on profiles as the local knowledge can often help with supplies, hints and tips etc... just country or region is plenty so little to help the "feds".......
Good luck with the kit when it arrives. Like the words of the advert, "it does what it says on the tin".....
