No switch. just the plug.
If you set it up properly temp should move after 70-80 mins when it gets to boiling. Does with mine & shortly after that it starts flowing.

I am having the same problem. This is the first time using my still and it wont even heat up. I waited 80 minutes and the still was cold with thermometers showing a reading of 21 degrees. i unplugged the power cord, plugged it back in, press the reset button underneath the still. been waiting another hour and still absolutely nothing

There is a little plastic nub underneath the still in the centre, give it a wiggle, this is the thermal cut-out switch that cuts out if the element overheats.

Thanks .... found the reset button it and its running... I now noticed that my lower thermometer is at 27.6 C and the upper thermometer is at 77.5 C. Is there a chance my lower thermometer is damaged? Or am i doing something wrong again?
Thanks again everyone

Running the water too fast? The lower thermo is the coolant temp, somewhere about 50-55oC is where you want to get it too.

Or the coolant pipes are the wrong way round.
The water goes into the bottom of the condenser and out where the temp sensor is.

You have the coolant hooked up backward. And based on the thermo, your running the warm water

Yep - that was my diagnosis simply on water temp. That's the third one of these in a couple of months. There must be something wrong (or unclear) in the instructions....
