Just thought I would tell everyone of my recent visit to Wine Works in the town of Chesterfield. I spoke to Richard on the phone and asked about how to filter a beer I brewed as I wanted to put in in a Cornelius keg and did not want to use finings.
I popped down to see him and he advised me on what I needed and what I should do. I must say that I was very impressed with both his expertise and shop, there is just about everything a home brewer needs, and what he doesn’t have he can order.
Suffice to say I filtered my beer and it worked a treat, I\'m now supping my IPA on tap - well done to wine works.
I recommend this shop -

If you\'ve had good service, then why the hell not!
Chesterfield is a bit far for me though ;-D

I found them to be very pleasant and helpful when I bought my kit. And also very good over the phone with a couple of aftersales queries. However, I have since found a brewshop in my home town that I didn\'t previously know about, and they sell all the same stuff.

Richard has been in touch a couple of times, he seems a friendly and a knowledgeable chap so it\'s good to hear that the service matches up to that - thanks for sharing!

I have spoke to Richard on the phone a couple of times and e-mailed him and he is the most helpful bloke in the world, I even tried to talk him in to opening a shop in my local area but I’m not holding my breath.
If you read this Richard…thank you.

Have to agree that both Richard and Kate are extremly helpfull and amicable, but lets be careull not to short circuit our local HB Shops, if we have one. After all if we buy Still Spirits we will be suporting both Wine Works and our Local HB Shop.

I Agree, I just placed another order with wineworks today.
I emailed Richard about abtaining a still spirits herbal essence
(tastes like jagermeister)
as I could not find it anywhere, later that day he phoned me back
informing myself that he has now added the essence to the website. lovely.
Don\'t fear , Wineworks is here!!

I agree opus27 when i need to order any still spirits items i always use wineworks as i cant see how anyone can better the service they give, but i still support the local HB,suppose its a case of use it or loose it.

Mmmm 'Use it or loose it' - I have always had a hard time with this saying. I do business with people, if I like the person and get good service from them then I don't mind paying the extra. To use a company 'just because' is no reason in my opinion.
One thing I have learned is that loyalty breeds complacency. I have on occasion done business with a person (company) I did not like, simply because they had what I wanted and could not get it from anywhere else in time. I did try my favourites (wine works among others) but they were unable to help me on this occasion.

I dont live near any HB shop so I have to order online all the time using wineworks.
But I would love it if one opened near me as it would be great to
visit and maybe obtain information about my hobbie face to face.
Thank god for this website!
