I was in Leyland Home Brew the other week and spotted these

At £85 each they seem expensive but by conical standards there cheap as chips, also it's 30lt capacity with headspace

I've been doing some research. Seems to be wall mounted but on ebay I've seen stands for sale for around £37

Yeah it comes with two brackets to mount to the wall but there is also a stand available seperately.

I'm actually thinking of buying 2 of them, I'll build them into an insulated cupboard with a divider in the middle, I'm going to have a heater bar and vent under each fermenter, a fan above each fermenter blowing out through some kind of trap that will normally keep heat in.

The idea is to replace my fermenting fridge, my controller will keep the heat on but if it gets too hot, it will start the fan blowing warm air out the top, at the same time sucking cold air in from the ground, I'll have a separate controller for each one.

I'm feeling a build coming on :)

Just had a look on Amazon, some pricks are trying to charge over £400 for one and over £100 just for the stand!!!!

I was out and about today and went to a new Home Brew Shop, to me anyway, it's actually been there for 40 years, I asked the guy if he had any and he said he was expecting them in on Friday, intrestingly he showed me an A4 advert for them it clearly showed the Trade prices and the retail prices, the RRP is £85 the Trade was £45+vat I think, so like most things theres room to haggle, especially if you want more than one.

I also found a Still Spirits Cherry Bourbon Essence :)

Yes and they get away with it...there will always be someone that will pay what the vendor asked.

That's why I put out a search now on everything we need to buy...be it for the home..anything, that way you get the best price.

I'd like a link to the essence if you can please.

£3.99 but makes 2.25 litre, the guy in the shop suggested mixing it a week before drinking to ensure the cherry flavour comes through

I have to say that does sound rahahahather good....

Its always a shame the postage doubles the price.

I keep a 3l scrumpy bottle for mixing these - DJ's always so in demand elsewhere.
