Condenser construction

Does anyone know of someone who could build me a coil to fit in a 54mm pipe? For a bokakob still? I can't find anyone who I usually use for my brewery to make one small enough but still suit the parameters required for operation. Usually I'd make the coil, but i want to outsource because I would just waste copper pipe attempting to Make one

Its easy to make a double coil it took me 3 attempts to make my coil
I think it cost me about £30 for 25mts of 6mm soft copper tubing from jtm
Plumbing search on here also theres pdf download called winding a coil again
Use the search
I think anavrin had some for sale

The easiest way to make a coil.
Get some 6mm pipe from JTM, fill the coil with water and put it in the freezer. Whilst it's still frozen wrap it around some 40mm waste pipe. It will fit inside 52mm.

Is it worth filling it with sand?

It's easier with water, you would need pressure to force sand around a coil.
Plus when it thaws out it runs out on it's own.

You gotta have a tall freezer to freeze about 2.5m length of copper

It comes in 10 meter coils, about 50cm in diameter.

That sounds like a smart way to wind a coil!

My freezer is tiny, so no chance of freezing it. I will take a look at this guide for winding coils, but im still concerned I will kink it or something like that.

That sounds like pure genius! If not all your own work, share in the Kudos for putting it out there.
I knew of filling with sand, never would have considered freezing water inside.
Has to be much easier than annealing and waving gas torching around?

I made my double condenser coil by freezing it as I described and wrapping around some 22mm copper pipe, then when I got 12 coils I slid a 40mm waste pipe over the top and wrapped it around that going in the opposite direction.

That certainly is proof - if ever it was needed. Well done.
