Brian, you and I should get together.

With your multi-function still head and my malt mashing machine we could deliver a fantastic no fuss-no mess, one piece, all grain distillery to home distillers all over these islands.

Next stop World Domination Distillation..ooops! :D :D :D

Cricket tomorrow, rain or shine, so put together 6 bottles of my version of "Apple Pie". It goes down well on a hot day and the standard of cricket cant get any worse.

Nothing to do with the subject matter but my grand niece, my biggest fan, is staying with us for a few days. She calls me her BIG granddad even though I'm no bigger than her real Granddads but me and her have a connection since she was born and she took a fancy to slapping my face. Now, she wants to go everywhere with me and I love it. I've no Grandkids of my own as my sons are all still single and showing no intention of settling down so my Grandniece is the nearest thing I've got and we're great buddies.

Hey KerryW - Thanks for the heads up. There will be plenty of ice, along with beer and apple pie. We are celebrating a couple of birthdays at the cricket. And looks like a day without rain for a change.

Back to work, and foreign shores, after my family vacation.

Decided to cheer myself up by starting the strip on 24l of neutral TPW. Got 30l of Cornflakes (3rd Generation) to do after this.

The joys. :)

The Apple Pie was a huge hit. Around 35 expats went through 4 bottles during the afternoon. Multiple orders so now have to make more. Give it a try.

Today I had a number of distilling related chores to get out of the way. I finished off the last bits of refurbishing my Cooling Coil for my all grain worts. It just needs a dip in some hot slops from my next stripping run to finish off the cleaning and it will be ready to go.

I also racked off two 27lt washes ready for stripping tomorrow. One was made with a Champagne yeast and I was quite surprised that it had almost cleared itself without any help from me. I hadn't even degassed it ::)

On a slightly sad note, I decommissioned my VM column today and put it in storage out of the way. I really don't have any use for neutral alcohol as I stick to making Whisky and Vodka which is what we drink ;) Anyway, it's gone away now but at lkeast I got it to work properly before retiring it. ;D

All-in-all a busy but satisfying day. Time for a little drop of Bourbon. I think I've earned it today ;D

The beginnings of a multi core condenser - 4x10mm cores inside a 35mm shell. Braised the cores so they didn't de-solder when doing the other fittings.

Nice piece of work Cap'n. I had thought of doing something along similar lines but with my potstill and thumper my bog-standard Liebig does all I need but I am in the process of constructing a closed cooling system, if I can just trying to find a suitable pump. ;)

Post pics of the finished item and don't forget to give a good shine ;) Copper porn ;D

AM,

Dependant on your requirements, Machine Mart have a sub pump on offer. 115l/m max head of 8m. If you have a water butt as the supply tank it would go a treat.
