Re: What I Did Today
Today I finally got enough joined up time to run a delayed strip wash.
Another one of these on the morrow, and I will be set for a spirit run.
Time just seems to gobble up my time right now, does anyone else feel this?

Re: What I Did Today
Time?? 100% Robert...
When I was younger..long time ago..(there's that word again
)
The old folks would go on about they didn't have time for doing this or that. Folks that were retired always complaining that they didn't know how they found time to go to work and do all the other things that they were doing now.
Well since retiring last Dec I've now joined the same club....what with trying to finish off my new boiler, build a bigger controller for the bigger element, run the home, cleaning, washing, cooking, erect a 15' polytunnel up the allotments, digging, planting, and a load of other jobs that are waiting......I have no TIME left to do anything else.
I'm going back to pushing the big wheels for 65/70 hours a week, it's an easier life....

Re: What I Did Today
Well, I still haven't managed to get my finger out my arse to sort out the water cooling supply for my T500, so I've been using my smart still to work my way through various buckets of wash.
Managed to get 10 litres of twice distilled drinking strength (40% ABV) carbon filtered twice to make a litre of both Malt Scotch type and the "Navy" Dark rum (both StillSpirits "classic" range.
Now continuing to strip the last 40 or so litres of wash..........

Phantom,
If there was a Smart still trade union, they would have you for overworking the wee thing!
That is one heck of a lot of usage you are getting from it,it must be 15 runs to deal with the last 40 litres.
I'm too weary to work out how many may have produced the first 10 litres of 40%.
Needs must and all that.
Robert

Re: What I Did Today
did not do anything today, except enjoy some Fortress Rum
I have been busy doing lots of other stuff and haven't had the still plugged in for a while , but it is time to get it going,
I had the chance to sample some Pitorro while visiting Puerto Rico a few weeks ago, and
even though it was bottled and sold commercially it was nasty
I will have to pass on that if I visit again,,

Re: What I Did Today
Just finished a 180L wash, a day or two early. Had to get it out of the way as I am delivering a 96' yacht to Taiwan, leaving on the 1st, weather permitting.
Will be gone 4-5 days. Will stop in Hong Kong on the way for an hour or two. Entering Taiwan on a Chinese registered boat is a bit suspect, but a stop in HK, which is Chinese territory, but not really, solves the problem. I hope.
