2 Litre. Model?
Spotted this curiosity for sale over here http://www.donedeal.ie/kitchenappliance ... er/6251866 but the price is very optimistic.
A HBS near me is now offering this model http://www.homebrewwest.ie/water-distil ... 2605-p.asp. It's currently out of stock but they assure me it will be back on the shelves shortly. Interestingly this modal features a stemless power controller
Very interesting

Seems like it is going the wrong way, size-wise. I can run 2 litres (or less) in my 4L model.

Re: 2 Litre. Model?
My first 'airstill' was sold as a water distiller so needed some mods.
First, the chlorine trap had to be filled with lead and cadmium free solder. 'Chlorine trap' = hole drilled in top of coil.
Then the wattage had to be lowered using a power controller.

I am pleased I kept my trusty little air still when I got the T500,I was going to sell it, but now use it for distilled water to cut my spirit. That Airstill paid for its self in no time, great machine.

Well it's probably cheaper to use RO water from the nearest aquarium shop, but I still have my smart still so I can play with flavoured spirits if I want and still put neutrals through my T500......

I rang up the local aquarium shop and asked about bottled RO water, the girl just laughed and asked what it was!
You are right about using the Air Still for flavored spirit I have loads of wild plums in the freezer. I am thinking of 2Lb of fruit to 1kg sugar per gallon, ferment on the pulp for a week or so,drain off and ferment out, then distill in the air still for a bit of flavor. I always double distill as per advice on this forum, always had good results with that little machine.

She must have been the cleaner then.......
Reverse Osmosis water, with NO MINERALS is what you need. You will need a can/drum as my local one charges about £3 for 25 litres with an extra 50p if you wanted the extra minerals for the aquarium (different minerals used for tropical/fresh water fish and marine tropicals so you know).
Which is why the chick on the phone is an idiot........
