Pot Still Spirit Run

The distillation process itself

Pot Still Spirit Run

Postby Almanac » Sun Sep 30, 2012 11:52 am

Yesterday was a good day for distilling and I had pre-warned the family that I would not be available for any purpose as I would be in the garage for the day.

I had 40lt of low wines, recyclables and feints waiting almost two weeks for a Spirit Run and everything got in the way of running it...until I put my foot down :D

For what it's worth I put the run data in a pdf so others can see how I collect and make cuts from my 50Lt Pot on the Spirit Run. This data may be helpful to others and if it prompts any questions get back to me ;)

I've replaced the apparently faulty pdf with the above.

Hi Aidan,

Is there supposed to be a graph in the middle? All I see is a mottled blue area with a lighter blue cross on it.

It's a standard pdf file so it should be OK. I assume you have Adobe Reader?

Try this one instead
Run Sheet 29 Sept 12.pdf

It's just a breakdown of the collection on the Spirit Run.

PM me if you've any other probs and I'll PM you a text listing. ;)

Hi Aidan,

Yes, standard Adobe Reader. I can read the second one just fine, no idea what is wrong with the first.

Sorry about that, no idea what was wrong. The original pdf was created with the same prog as the second and never had probs with it before ???

Anyway, all fixed now.

Excellent results Aidan.

I love the obsessive compulsive table (although why you didn't record hundreds of a second I don't know! :P )

Once I get this decking down, and devote less of my time to my new telescope I will seriously look at having a go myself, probably in the new year.

Sorry for not being on recently. Life keeps getting in the way.

Cheers.

Hey Mozr, thought you had hung your boots up or emigrated, good to see you back on ;)

I thought about excluding the time recording, which I record to give me a flow rate, but I reckoned someone would ask how long, how many litres per hour, hows your father, etc., but I'm not standing there with a stopwatch for anyone :D :D :D

Don't forget the StillSmart Christmas party - you'll need a stock in for that :D :D
