Fermenting Temp/Heat pad
I use a heat pad to ferment at 22C when it hits the 990 mark on the Hydrometer some days later & the bubbling stops. Is it ok to turn off the heat pad & let it sit without worrying about temps after that or should I try & keep it at 22c until using it throughout?

Re: Fermenting Temp/Heat pad
After the fermentation has finished and at 0.990 it has, there is no point in applying heat.
Turning off the heat and allowing it to cool will assist in speeding up the clearig process.

Remember to give it a good stir to get the CO2 out of it. I blast mine with an air pump for 20 mins, then give a good stir, then stir it again the next day. It really helps the clearing.

Yea I've done the odd fermenter stir at times. Some say they don't or no need to but i feel better doing so. After stirring it does give off a few bubbles afterwards so it must of helped there.
