Would it work if I used the oak medium and high toasted english oak homemade dominoes that have been in my apple brandy for 9 months and have done their job, in my single malt whisky that I have just finished my spirit run on.

Many spirits are aged in used barrels mate. I used
oak from my Rum in my Whiskey.

An apple tint to a whisky would be a new one methinks.
But I would sure as hell try it.

Yup.
I can't remember the exact % without looking it up. But oak barrels are good for 3 'runs'. The first gives up 60%. This is the strongest 'floorboard/fresh oak' flavour. Second run is 30% (of its life) more mellow. Last run is the last 10% which is quite subtle and takes times. After that they are considered vessels or are reconditioned.
I certainly use my oak dominoes twice.
