New still cleaning

Post by Jennysgin » Tue May 14, 2019 5:38 pm

The air still is meant to be arriving tomorrow! :D
Should it be getting a water and vinegar cleaning run before use like the bigger stills or should it be ok to go?
Thanks

You will be good just running some water through it to clean out any residual manufacturing oils etc.
Vinegar is really only used for soldered home builds.

None yet! It only arrived on Wednesday. I ended up getting a basic starter set as we had absolutely no equipment so now we have a fermenting barrel the first wash is on. We're using up the turbo pure that came with the still but will try other things for the next one :D

Good luck. I'm sure it will make you grin. You should find the forum is a lot more use than the instructions.

Get some copper saved up for when you run it.
