We have had this conversation before :D haven't you got wet flannel :D

Cotton wool is often used with spirit, but typically as a bung at the end of a carbon filter.

Different filters filter different things. Different issues need different solutions. Cloudy isn't always a particulate it can be a haze. Which is cleared by temperature and/or %. It also depends on the fruit - A good example is plums which will not clear ever (Well, almost never never ever ever ever never ever)

Depending on what you are trying to filter it is sometimes worth starting off course and working it down by degrees. There is a stainless steel coffee drip that I bought from China, which is absolutely splendid for fine particulate in spirit, But wouldn't help with cloudiness.

I certainly cannot recall any conversations on this or the previous site about coconut husk. Although I do seem to recall coconut husk is one of the things that he's used to produce carbon, so there might be something in it........

Excellent. That's what it is all about. We all try a little something, tweak it, share it, repeat it. It think it was pyro so discovered the air stone thingy... Brilliant.
