I broke the screw that holds the charcoal

I broke the stem of the long screw that holds the carbon cylinder cartridge in my SS EZ filter system. Ran down to my local Home Depot and picked up a 7" x 3/8" stainless steel eye bolt with nut, and a couple stainless steel washers.

I'm back in business!

You are not the first to discover that commercial filters can have their weak spots, that smart people can work around. :)

Nice one Bill. I always think it's too easy to chuck it and buy a replacement.
