Summer Clearance.

Post by gaza the instructor »

I touched on the subject a while ago, but due to health I can no longer make Beer.
It is to much of a temptation to a Beer Monster like myself, indeed the last dozen
or so pictures taken I am hanging onto a pint for dear life!!
As a result a lot of my brewing gear has to go. If any of you guys would like just
PM me.

To Go: King keg top tap barrels, Mini 5ltr Kegs and 100's Brown Beer Bottles 500ml
plus spares and gas bulbs etc etc etc.......

By the way this is a clearance not a sale FREE , NADDER, ZILCH I just don't want to
throw good expensive gear in the skip. two of the barrels only filled twice and they
were £65 each.

Well look guys, I want someone off here to have it. I don't buy cheap
stuff and a lot of it is 2 or 3 years old and I have not brewed for a
year. I would rather throw it away than sell it cheap on E Bay and
see it being resold the following week.
I have boxes of spares and gas bulbs for the Barrels, you can have it
all. But hurry because my wife wants it gone by next weekend.

Sorry to read this Gaza...I'm sort of in the same way as you, I now know I can drink a pint, maybe two, then I get the old feeling in the feet that says "have any more and you will pay for it tomorrow"...Gout that is...

That's why I've not made beer either over the last year or so...after many trials trying different drinks it all comes down to vodka. Whisky is a no-no, Rum I can get away with a couple of snifters, gin not my cup of tea, but good old Vodka I can hit that hard and still no pain...so that's what I run these days.

Hope someone takes on your kit and makes it work, can't beat a bit of homebrew.

Sorry to hear that Gaz and Ice. Mother suffers with gout and sticks with the wine these days. Lots of wine 😂 I can only imagine how painful it is, from what she tells me it's a horrible thing to suffer from.

I hope your kit finds a good home Gaza. I'm unfortunately a buy-my-beer-at-tesco kinda person

I did buy my Beer, then I made the real thing. And although only Kits
they were "A" grade kits and really good stuff. 28p a pint, Bitters,
Ales and Lagers. I would bottle lager, cider and strong Beer and have
two Draughts on the go. So there was always choice normally 6 beers
etc.
Shop bought is weak insipid crap, well most is. Presidents Sierra IPA
at 5.8% was my favourite a Citra late hopped craft beer a bit like
Punk IPA. One pint was never enough and 10 too many??
Now I to buy Beer about 4 pints a week and sympathies be with you
Grand Master Iceman may your smoke plombs rise high in the sky and
send the low"n"slow message far.
Jules I know its not so great for a young Lady, but Real Ale will put
hairs on your chest, and save you a fortune.

😂 No, hairs on the chest is not a good look for me, I'm pretty sure of that. I wish I liked ale and craft beers, I got some of Brewdog's Lost Lager to try and that was not so bad. Maybe I just need to get used to it. Germany is a Pilsner country so I blame my upbringing for that

Lager just means to store. The morons who shout at the T.V. when someone
kicks a Football did that. Pilsner is a style of Beer and a very fine one.
Personally I like my Beer a little darker in colour, love my Guinness, but I
must not any more.

I know that you may come across as a frightsome fella gaza, but I like you.
I hope someone is not put off claiming your booty for fear of your on-line image.
I am sure you would offer tea and biscuits, and all sorts of advice.
I just hate to think of good kit being binned.

Yes it is a shame to waste, but I would rather bin it than
line the pockets of some shark on E-Bay.
Me frightsome no just a big Teddy Bear who is married
to a Rottweiler.
