cupboard contents........

Post by phantom »

Currently running about 10 litres of "finished" neutral through the "Z" filter.

Initial disaster, when the tap on the top bucket started leaking, only to find that the securing nut had perished.

Anyway, digging through the cupboard to find the replacement tap, I found the bulk bottles of "Prestige" brand flavourings (paid full price for the Absinthe, but the "toffee candy shots" and "Irish Emerald cream" were cheap on eBay (about £5 a bottle).

Not got any single cream to make up some of the Irish cream one, but thought WTF, but on checking the instruction for mixing, got all the kit for the Toffee Candy shots..........

All I'll say, is that it mixes up as a kids looney juice. 500ml of spirit, 230 gms sugar and 20 ml of the flavouring.

Yes, as ever, sweetening the spirit took a shitload of shaking, but the bottle pic is a Dutch 1.5ltr Grolsch bottle and my taste of the mixed batch is bloody marvellous - neat or with a splash of coke.

Real easy drinking looney juice 😆😆😆😋😋😋😉👍

Just mentioned these in another post.
I make these at 20% and they are excellent
Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

Seem to recall that it was just one of those "take a punt" moments.

Cos they were cheap, I remember thinking about them being "Prestige" brand (and while I don't mind one or two, I'm not a big fan) so if they were ones I didn't enjoy, it didn't matter if they got binned.

I also have a "Jamaican Dark Rum" one, but that's not as good as the SS Classic equivalent, so as yet haven't made any more of it.

But this one is a right result 🤪🤪🤪😆👍

"Jamaican Dark Rum", that one is pungent, and drinkability depends on stocks of alternative.
