Still Spirits Base A. B and C

Post by gaza the instructor »

News from Dick Head, sorry I mean Richard Cranium from Love Brewing.
Ohhh Mash and ED will be happy its a respect thing you know.
Well here is the news.
Still Spirits are currently unable to provide us with Liqueur Bases, but we have an alternative that will work just as well.

For Base A you need to take 220g of brewing sugar (or ordinary granular sugar but this is not as good) and add 20mls of Glycerine per 1.125 litres. Mix well.
For Base B you need to take 260g of brewing sugar (or ordinary granular sugar but this is not as good) and add 20mls of Glycerine per 1.125 litres. Mix well.
For Base C you need to take 320g of brewing sugar (or ordinary granular sugar but this is not as good) and add 20mls of Glycerine per 1.125 litres. Mix well.
For Schnapps Base you need to take 300g of brewing sugar (or ordinary granular sugar but this is not as good) and add 20mls of Glycerine per 1.125 litres. Mix well.

So it does appear that those of us who on occasions use these flavourings have guessed correctly and you really
don't need those expensive bases after all, just a bit of brewing or granulated sugar.
Thanks guys make cheques out to Gaza the Instructor and send to Lapland.
Or is that Napland as Naff all is occurin'.

C'mon mate, surely you knew that there was a workaround to these base syrups?
But I will give you credit for posting proportions/recipes.
Nice one, and I tip my hat to you sir.

A nice idea to try and taste to see how close it is, both to their essence version and the original perhaps?

I am NOT promoting excessive consumption of alcohol, but it is only booze.
After the third, will you notice the taste?
