I am 63 years old, I regularly wet shave. Last Tuesday I shaved my face completely, since then I have not shaved above my top lip. Never attempted it before. How long before it starts to soften? I see that some of the hairs are approx 7-8mm long after 1 week/7 days. Given that the space between the bottom of my nose and top lip is approx 30mm, that is app 4 weeks total, that is another 3 weeks....
Any advice, as I said first time. I have a full head of white/grey hair, the moustache is growing white at this stage.
Need a plan.......

Well it has been a tickle at times, literally.
My wife is willing to watch where it goes.
I am softening it up, warm water, soap etc. A friend, Michael, who has had a 'tach' for 40 years sais mine is progressing well.
He suggests in 10-14 days using beard oil to allow me to soften and groom my tach.
I trim it as it is, as it grows below the bottom of my top lip. I have had many favourable comments.
So, I will report again in a week or so.
