Web site protocols

Post by Easydrinker »

Not seeing any issues with this site, open to all, for a read, and the only rule is to be nice and play friendly, if you join and post.
I will not mention other distilling sites here.

In the last couple of months my latest interest, bees, has had me visit very, very, many bee related sites.
And do they vary!
From sites that allow you to view a few pages before blocking you, unless you register, with A LOT of detail, to others under the control of a virtual dictator that blocks or omits information not approved of by the sole administrator.
It is hard to draw parallels, but bee people seem to be further up themselves than the average distiller.
May bee they need a drink. :)

I don't want to guess at the websites of cycling, pram collecting and stamps, et. al.!
I had forgotten what a dirty world was out there.

Let's applaud our own little part of the interweb, maintain it, and continue to welcome others to it.

Just my thoughts.

Robert.

Such is life...I was on a beer forum many years back and the shit hit the fan over something, this went on to a flame war and the forum split into two.

I have to agree that no one here seems to have a hidden agenda and when a post goes up that seems to be a bit awry the benefit of the doubt is given. Having said that I have been on the rum!

When you consider our subject matter, we are an incredibly open group. We are existing in an unusually tolerant corner of the interweb and we are building a damn fine splendid community.
I think our small stature has a lot to do with this and we will have to be ruthless with the banning hammer when Richard Head inevitably pops up.
Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

If it’s broken, it might be my fault, is my responsibility and there is even a slight chance I can fix it 😳

I am in danger of becoming boring here. :)
I now spend/waste at least 20 minutes a day watching/chilling with bees. Very chillaxing.
A hive community.
But, not a bad analagy.

Like a 'guard' bee, I am here, at the entrance, checking the comings and goings.
Bee hives/nests, allow any passing drone entrance, even supply free sustenance, and expect nothing in return, in the short term.
But, fuck with the colony at your peril!

If Richard Head tries to enter this colony, he will be evicted with extreme predjudice. :(
