One question Benoit would you use rubber
or fibre washers for these taps ???

I just used ptfe tape mate, just go careful when tightening up the hex nipple into the container. I overdid it on one of mine & made the threaded bit spin, it leaked a little after that & I had to seal it with silicon....learned my lesson for the other & that ones fine

You've done nothing ED, I simply know you to be an advocate of higher amounts of yeast & still having the occasional chuckle at your freak ferment the other week. I'm probably not far behind you to be fair....how much comes in those little tins? I must use half a tin per 23-25 litres, I don't seem to get many runs out of a tin anyway!

They are 125g tins, and I discovered last week that Amazon will ship at 65p a tin if you buy enough or combine shipping. 20 tins en route.plus extras.

I try to save a few pennies and just use 100g.
My local Tesco do seem to have stopped stocking regular Allinson's.
Amazon have lost the 20 tins that I bought and they didn't deliver.
A couple of days to resolution.

I found this article here about the difference between the type of yeasts.

Quote.
Instant yeast may also be marketed and sold as rapid- or quick-rise yeast. This yeast has also been milled into smaller particles so it doesn't need to be dissolved into water.

I'm sure Mash has this for his washes...https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mauripan-Insta ... ried+yeast

Then there's this bulk buy...works out at just over a £ per washhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/Mauripan-I ... ried+yeast

Robert, it's knocks on the door of using olive oil but fails to go into the subject. I have used olive oil with good results.
