Exotic spirits you've discovered on your holibobs.

There's always something new to discover.

I'm not that well travelled but loved the crème de cacao from Cuba (mixed with milk)

Anything aniseedy for me.

Pastis (but not the posh brands), ouzo, raki, sambuca, etc.

Maekhong Whiskey (rum actually in Thailand). The hangovers can only be experienced, there are not words to describe that kind of pain. And Mao Tai in Taiwan, which has a taste of women's perfume that lingers for... days. Shudder.

That sounds like no cuts or adulteration.

I consider myself fairly well travelled within Europe, but I've never been outside of Europe.

Probably a good thing, booze-wise.

Got wrecked on absinthe once and lost 3 days of a holiday to Lanzarote.

I have found a Cape Verdean rum called Grog.

Yet to try but will definitely be bringing a bottle home. Picture to follow!

It is ROUGH! Tasted like my first airstill vodka when I followed the manufacturers instructions! Grim!

Cape Verdean rum. Bought in duty free. Yet to taste but it has to be better than the all inclusive offering!

With GTF, Ouzo when I did the Greek islands in my younger days
Pommeau, not quite a spirit from Normandy, and the Eau de Vie de Pomme that has probably now died out (legally made at the roadside that is) from the same region.

That sounds like a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster to me, ie. Having your brain bashed out with a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick!

Robert.
