Last night’s starter.
Crayfish in salad cream, tomato sauce, pinch of paprika, served with buttered brown bread. Washed down with a glass of African lager.

Very nice,I love crayfish. They are becoming very
popular and they are very tasty.

The Loch is fool of them.
I took about 20 of the bigger ones home and left them in a big drum of water overnight to clean their digestive tract out, then gave them 5 min in a large pot of boiling water.

American Signal crayfish, I believe they're called. I'd happily eat those if I could get some, just that I prefer regular lobster, crab, etc......

Went fishing the other month and only caught 2 tins of mackerel in Thai green sauce and another 2 tins of mackerel in Mexican Spicy tomato sauce.....
We do some work with the scolly boats. So handy when I've managed to blag a bag of scallops. Just that it plays holy hell with the bin men as the bin hussles big time if the shells and trimmings are in there for more than a day or so (not much worse than the stench of manky shellfish).........

Used to be a joke around that only two things smell like fish, and fish is one of them.....

I seldom take myself seriously....

Re: What I Did Today
What I didn't do today, or yesterday or for a week, is take the reflux column off the still, empty it and rack a strip into it.
It has been waiting for ages.
Daylight hours are now too short and need to be spent earning money.
At this time of night I am just capable of tapping a coherent post.
Just.
Time for bed said Zebedee

Re: What I Did Today
I know that feeling.......
I want to be keeping an eye on all my interests and places I read etc. Everything seems to be normal, but when I try to get some check in time, it all seems to have disappeared and I'm knackered.
Either that or I get home, mentally planning etc, only to wake up sitting on the sofa and it's stupid o'clock in the morning, so then the race to hit the sack so I'm ready for another visit to life's pile of shit a.k.a. work.........
Now I'm starting to understand my parents "where's all the time gone" comments.
Shame there's no magic pill to help improve life efficiency
