Welcome to the forums!

Myles wrote:Hello folks,
Just thought I would join you lot as well, as this seems to be more local. You may have seen me on the Artisan and Modern Distillers forums.
Sorry I don't use any of the equipment this forum was aimed at, as I tend to use keg boilers with hand built copper vapour paths. Hope you won't hold that against me.

Myles,
Welcome, it's nice to see you here. Dont appologise, the forum is quite diversified; there are lots of members with kegs and many others looking to upgrade, your knowledge and skills will be very welcome here.

Welcome Myles and Brandy, good to have you both here.
I saw Myles was making a very nice pot head to sell over on the other forums, and asked if it was okay to post over here.
I haven't had a chance to do it yet, but now he's here, hopefully he'll put up some pics.

G'day from the Antipodes.
You guys been going for several years and this is the first time I've even seen you! Shame on me. Well I'm here now, but may not comment much for a while. At least until I've had a look around.
Please feel free to browse & research in my Online Distilling Library. Many technical & other resources on alcohol manufacture and related subjects. Link is in my sigline.
Well that's my ongoing contribution to the hobby.

Hi Harry! Very good to see you around these parts. That is an extensive library for anyone not familiar with it. Can we pour you a drink?

+1 Chucks comments....
Harry (welcome, BTW
) has a library there made of MANY hours r&d....its a real reference centre, as good as any for the distiller, IMHO.

Hi Brian not sure which still is best for me yet? Leaning more towards the Boka with the slanted plates, a keg with heating element but i read somewhere that a VM still might give better results,as i want to make clean runs with high % and add flavours after taking it back down to 40% ish.
p.s no may name doesnt reflect my alcohol preference i love it all ha ha

Re: Welcome to the forums!
Hey guys. I've been mainly over at MD and didn't know about this site until FullySilenced mentioned it. Decided to stop by and say hello and read for a while. I'm relatively new to distilling and currently into making vodka using a hybrid bubble plate / steel wool packed column.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone.
