Farm Foods
On another farm foods front; anyone have any experience of molassed sugarbeet flakes?
Have been watching the rum and cachaca threads with interest, curious how this product might lend itself to an experiment.
It'd probably have to wait until I've got a sweetfeed wash out of my system though.

Never seen them PP....don't even know if we have them in the UK...but if you don't try you'll never know.

I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

Just FWIW, BJ, they'd both be found at farm supplies outlets - where you'd buy horse food if you were into feeding horses, that is.
I'm a bit slow, took me an age of reading forums before I clicked to the sweetfeed in particular.

Wait till autumn/early winter, then if running across the fens, you see either a bulk tipper or what looks like a big pile of big mega muddy spuds (a good couple of pound in weight sized spuds) its sugar beet. Couple of carrier bags full and happy experiments
you dont need animal feed flakes then do you (and sugar beet "nuts' from the agri feeds supply probably don't have much sugar left as they're from post-process).......

Re: Farm Foods
Normally the processed product would be all that I could expect to locate in my NOTW; it's grown way down the other end of the country.
Trial cropping has been carried out in the north where I am, with mixed results cause there has been so little rainfall over the last 6 months. My friendly neighbouring cow cocky gave it a shot and was very impressed so more production is planned....
Took a look at the plants vital statistics, quite a viable feed product for a wash or six, just didn't stack up against googes kale goo, however all in good time......
