Favourite Drink?
OK, a cheesy topic maybe but should be interesting! Let's find out the following from everyone :
Favourite alcoholic drinks - Tequila & Bitter Lemon, Vodka Tonic, Vodka & Cactus Juice
Least favourite booze - Carling and other cheap lager, gin, Pimms as I object to salad in my drink
Best result from distilling - my fake Jack Daniels, which I named Helen Daniels
Worst result from distilling - my Calvados. Dear oh dear.
Spirit I'd love to make but can't and why - Tequila, can't get enough agave right now
Well, that's enough to get going with anyway!

Favourite Drink?
Ha! my favourite ever was a bottle of "Armagnac Dupeyron", that I found by accident in the duty free sales at Charles De Gaulle (Paris) in 1991. It was £20 duty free, and it was in a "stone" jar - presumably as a marketing gimmick.
I think it was about 15 or so years old.
Nectar, absolute nectar. It took me a week or so to drink the whole bottle. I just regret that I lost the bottle some time later - it would have made an excellent lounge ornament.
Worst? Sugary liqueurs. They're mostly "complete barf"! though I'm not a big whisky drinker, if anything a single malt, but anything blended has to be "mixed" (water, soda, ginger ale, etc etc).
What was the brand of flavouring for the "Helen Daniels" Jimmy ? The still spirits Kentucky bourbon flavour is pretty close to Jim Beam or Wild Turkey, and the Tennessee sour mash bourbon flavour isn't very far off Jack Daniels. I've got another bourbon flavouring to try (Prestige brand) but I haven't mixed it up yet. I'll post you a review when I have.
