hi there folks just a quick one for you,im trying to do some cuts on this next batch for the first time,all my washes are sugar wash i have a T500 still i produce 3 litres of 92-93% of acohol,SO if disgard my first 100ml of heads,then the heart comes next,so if i collect around 2litres,and put that in a jar and collect the other 1litre and use that as tails and re-use them on my next batch am i doing the right thing or sould i collect more heart,or can someone tell me roughly how much of each to collect,i run my still around 53-55c iv seen the one on the site where someone puts 100m in so many glasses and the next day smell them,i think i would struggle a bit with my smelling i have synus problems,so if you called help much appreciated,thanks marbaker

The first 100ml are foreshots and can\'t be drunk, then come the heads, then the hearts and then the tails.
I collect in 400ml jars, leave the lids of for 24 hours, then smell the jars. The difference between the first heads jar and the middle of the hearts jars should be quite obvious even with a synus problem - but mix a teaspoon of each jar with a teaspoon of water and taste it. You should be able to taste a difference

well i did my cuts last night,the first 400ml was very strong (biter taste)so discarded that as heads the second 400ml a bit pleasenter but yes and no so used that as (heart 2 ie whisky ect ) the third and 4th were very nice so used them as (hearts 1 vodka ect)the 5th and 6th were okish so used them as heart 2as well,the last about 500ml i am recycling on my next barch thanks for the tip mrcat much appriciated.thanks marbaker
