You could try http://www.distillingdominoes.co.uk/dominoes-3/ or the wood from Still Dragon is pretty decent as well

Are the dominos good for just one use? I assume they loser their flavour after the first use.

Maybe ok to chuck in a barbecue for some smokey flavour though?

The dominos can be used more than once...like you say the more you use them the less flavour there is.

That is the real value in dominoes over chips. Dry in airing cupboard and use again... Even retoast in oven. Always store dry when not submerged.

Have bought 2 different trial packs
of wood from S.D. and cant believe the
difference in colours and taste.
Can anyone give a guild on how much?
or how long?
I know its all personal taste, but hear
of over oaking ?
This does not sound nice and dont
want to do it to my precious rum.

Without wishing to be facetious, does taste, taste, taste help at all?

Your bits of wood are not the same as someone else's.
Nor is your product.
There is a HUGE margin for experimentation here, and very few hard and fast rules.
It should be part of the fun.

Cheers to that, so its out with the
syringe have 13 2.5 ltr swing tops
full of rum from two and half runs.
All with different types or amounts.
Could make a very interesting eve .

I misread that... I read "welcome to the seat of your pants" :)

Indeed oak REALLY IS that beast.
I use 8-10g per litre as a starting point.

I seem to use a little more Oak than that, but maybe for a shorter time.
This whole thing does rely upon a certain degree of experimentation.
